I haven't been very good about keeping my blog updated. Here are a few sessions from earlier in the summer.

Back in the saddle
I have been itching to dust off my camera and get back to work, and I couldn't ask for a better first session back! I have been taking pictures of this cutie since he was in the womb, and it is so fun to watch him grow up. The weather was beautiful (for once!) so we really got to take advantage of the green from all the rain we've had recently.
And lastly, I love me some cryin' faces. It's terrible, I know, but he's just so darn cute!

Where I've Been...
Just thought I'd share the reason I've been MIA for a bit. Her name is Isabelle Kate and she joined our family on March 10th. We just love her to pieces, as I'm sure you can tell by the picture overload!

Oliver
Oliver was such a sweet little peanut. We took all of these in his parents' bedroom, which I love because it adds a personal and homey feel. Oliver's mom had several fun props, including this adorable striped hat and a full-sized surfboard! The sky's the limit, and I love it when my clients think outside the box!

First face of the New Year
Technically I took these pictures back in December, but since I am just now posting them on the blog, we'll call them the first pictures of 2011! I'm doing very limited sessions now that my baby is coming in 7 weeks (!) but I'm glad I haven't stopped altogether. If I had, I would have missed this sweet face, and that's just unacceptable. :)

Special
There is just something special about this family. They waited so long to have their sweet little girl join their family, and the love they have for her is powerful. Now they are hoping to add another to their family, and these pictures are going to be part of their updated adoption materials. You can read more about their story here. I am truly honored to have been a part of this process and I hope these pictures represent the wonderful people that they are.
Pierce and co.
Extended families are a lot of work, but oh so rewarding. I was able to squeeze this group in last minute and I was so glad I did. They had access to some private property that had me on cloud nine. I had so much fun working with the scenery and with a great family.

Candid
I'm coming to the last of my fall sessions, so if you are still waiting for your pictures they are coming soon, I promise! These kids were so great to work with. I especially love the candid pictures. Someday I would like to try an entire session un-posed -- just candids. There just something about them, don't you think?
