Sweet Boy

One of the best parts about being a photographer is the VIP pass I get into the home of newborn babies. A couple hours of up close time with a week old baby? Sign me up! How stunning is little Harrison? This sweet little guy joined one of my favorite families ever. Lucky little dude.

Portfolio Catch Up!

This blog has been dormant for several years now as we've moved around the country, but now we've settled back where it all started (Utah) and it's time to dust off the cobwebs and update this thing! I haven't been totally MIA during all that time, so here's a bit of what I've been up to since 2011. I have several shoots coming up so keep watching for more goodies!

Libby

Each time I get a nice drowsy baby to work with, I fall in love with newborn photography all over again. I had so much fun with little Libby - her mom and I combined hairbow stashes and used a new one for every pose. The weather was perfect so we ventured outside for a few shots. This first one is definitely one my favorites. It may end up on my next set of business cards. :-)

You know you've struck gold when you have a perfect poseable newborn AND a cooperative older brother to work with!

Baby Olivia

I have been in newborn heaven lately. It must be baby season. :-) Sweet Olivia put up a fight for a bit, but patience paid off in the end. I am loving the groups of three pictures, especially for birth announcements like the one we put together below.

Baby blues

It seems like every kid that steps in front of my camera lately has gigantic eyes! Aren't these beautiful? This first outfit, with the vest and hat, came all the way from Italy. Could he be more precious?

Baby Connor

Sweet Connor, born on Labor Day (hehe), is the easiest baby I have ever photographed. He slept like a champ while we moved and prodded and pushed him around, and even gave us the cutest little faces in response. He was the perfect model for my new cradle - he just curled right up in it like it was made for him.

Connor could be the model for the fetal position. Doesn't he look just like the pictures of babies in the womb?
